- Module 2: Pre-Operative Surgical and Diagnostic Measures (100 Hours)5
- 2.1Diagnostic Instruments for Ano-rectal disorders (including Dr. P.J. Deshpande’s instruments).
- 2.2Investigations (Fistulogram, Sonography, MRI).
- 2.3Special Investigations (Proctoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Anal manometry).
- 2.4Sterilization methods, OT Preparation, Draping, Cleaning, Pre-Anesthetic Checkup (PAC).
- 2.5Bio-Medical Waste (BMW) management, CPR, and Fire Safety Measures.
- Module 3: Diagnosis and Kshara Karma Procedure (170 Hours)6
- 3.1Kshara types (Pratisaraneeya, Paneeya) and Pharmacodynamics (pH value, penetration, necrotic actions).
- 3.2Preparation, standardization, sterilization, and storage of Ksharsutra.
- 3.3Diagnosis (Nidan) and Treatment (Chikitsa) of Fistula-in-ano, Hemorrhoids, Pilonidal sinus, Rectal prolapse.
- 3.4Ksharsutra Application Techniques (Pradhan Karma).
- 3.5Postoperative Care (Paschat Karma) and wound management.
- 3.6Adjuvant therapies (Analgesics, Antibiotics, Anesthesia).
- Module 4: Agnikarma & Raktamokshna Procedures (150 Hours)5
- 4.1Introduction to Agnikarma (History, Types, Mode of Action).
- 4.2Instruments and Techniques (Valaya/circular, Bindu/doted, Vilekha/linear, Pratisarana/scrubbing).
- 4.3Agnikarma application for Skin (Twak gata), Muscle (Mamsa gata), Ligament (Snayu), and Joint (Sandigata) diseases.
- 4.4Burn Management: Recognizing and managing Palusta, Durdagda, Samyak dagda, and Ati dagda.
- 4.5Raktamokshana (Bloodletting) techniques: Prachhana (Incisional), Siravyadha (Vein Puncture), Alabu chikitsa (Cupping), Jalaukavacharana (Leech therapy).
